"Bat Girl" is the 56th episode of Season 2 and the 114th episode overall of Big City Greens.
Synopsis
Nancy joins Cricket and Tilly's community center little league baseball team to help them get back at their unsportsmanlike rivals.
Plot
Community Sue is leading her little league baseball team the "Sue-Zers" (a play on "Sue" and "Bruisers") through a big game of the season. Cricket and Tilly's family watch them as Nancy regales how she was once a little league player herself. Sue is disappointed that they are up against The Elite lead by her rival Community Dan who is obnoxious and teaches his kids to be ruthless show boaters. Despite their best efforts, the Sue-Zers are no match for The Elites, who not only have more skill than their counterparts, but also mock and belittle the other team and perform fake outs on them. Midway through the game, the game is scored 0-11 with the Sue-Zers unable to play anymore and Sue becoming disillusioned.
Incapable of watching the injustice, Nancy takes the field by claiming that she is eleven, which the umpire believes when she claims that she has no I.D. Sue agrees to the tactic as they "took everything from me" and demands that she do whatever it takes. Nancy gathers the kids and teaches them to play just as ruthless as the Elite, though in the process they have to bench Benny, which he wasn’t happy about, but Sue took didn’t pay much attention. The Sue-Zers have a sudden turn around with them performing home runs and outwitting the Elite with Dan also succumbing and facing the same type of insults and put downs that he once inflicted on the team. The score eventually ends up at 26-11 as Dan proceeds to insult his team.
During the final game, Nancy begins to realize that the kids are now becoming hurtful to the other team who are unmotivated now. Realizing that she has gone too far, Nancy speaks with the Sue-Zers in "baseball speak", admitting that she was wrong and that they need to turn the game around and let the Elites win; Bill sees this and is mildly confused. Though reluctant, they agree and proceed to purposefully turn the game around. However, in the final match, Benny, who had been feeling neglected, attempts to catch the ball, but Cricket stops him and the Elite win. Dan once again mocks the Sue-Zers, but contrarily, the Elites thank them for playing a great game. As the team congratulate themselves, Sue tells them that she believes that it will be a great season for them, but a title card pops up bluntly stating "It wasn't".
