Chibi Tiny Tales is a series of digital shorts produced by Disney Television Animation and created by Gino Guzzado[1] that recently released on the Disney Channel YouTube page and DisneyNOW. The series initially began with Big Hero 6: The Series, taking inspiration from the Karmi fanfiction segments but it was eventually expanded to include other popular Disney shows; the first was Amphibia, the second being Phineas and Ferb, and most recently, the Disney Channel Original Movie Halloweentown.
Each short is about a minute long, and drawn in an Animesque "chibi" style. The shorts have little-to-no spoken dialogue, with most of it represented through non-verbal sound effects like grunts, laughs, screams, yells, and occasional pictorial speech bubbles. Starting from Halloweentown As Told By Chibi onwards, most of the vocal effects provided by the voice actors are new replaced by generic stock sound effects (such as car alarm or school bell ringing sound effects were heard when characters exclaiming with exclamation mark speech bubbles, toy squeaking, etc...) or occasionally cartoon sound effects from the Hanna-Barbera library and some Sound Ideas libraries such as the squeaking sounds.
All of the Chibi shorts were animated in South Korea by Rough Draft Korea[2]. It is followed by a spinoff full-form series, Chibiverse.
