"Fortune Feller" is the 19th episode of Season 4 and the 171st episode overall of Big City Greens.
Synopsis
Cricket tries to avoid a fortune teller's ominous prediction that he will get a stinky slap.
Plot
Zalmar gives Cricket a warning with a "slappy" outcome.
The Greens attend the Smalton fair with Cricket determined to ride the gondola donkey ride which he insists is one of the fastest rides, while Gramma Alice decides to buy funnel cake for herself. The family come across a fortune telling machine named Zalmar which "accurately" says that Nancy and Tilly will find something new to try, but warns that Cricket will get a stinky slap, much to his horror. Cricket tries to alter his fate so that he can enjoy the ride. Nancy goes to the balloon popping stand which is run by her father Nick. She struggles to pop the balloons, but quickly learns that he is cheating with magnets, outwitting him in the end.
Tilly and Bill go to Elrod's Exotic Animals where Elrod comes out with Arthur the Alligator, an animal that he wrestles. Tilly is shocked by this display and begins to attack Elrod himself, believing that he is harming Arthur. He eventually stops her when he admits that he isn't actually wrestling Arthur and that it's just for show, he loves Arthur and is simply making money for the both of them. Despite Alice's insistence that he should embrace his fate, Cricket tries everything he can to not get stinky slapped, inadvertently causing disaster throughout the park. Elrod's bush baby, Slappy, escapes and gets its hands dirty and stinky during this time.
Stinky and slappy fortunes won't ruin Cricket's fun.
Cricket decides to embrace his fate no matter what happens and gets on the donkey gondola, despite the fair suffering electric problems. The bush baby gets on the ride with Cricket and proceeds to slap him repeatedly with its stinky paws. After the ride ends, Cricket gets off, tired, but glad that he went through with it anyway and embracing his fate. Alice, who had been eating funnel cake throughout the day, but had to switch to funnel cake batter due to the power surge, congratulates Cricket on finally embracing his fear. Cricket wonders afterward if the fortune was real or it simply happened because he did it, and Alice shrugs it off. Unfortunately, Alice gets sick due to the batter and prepares to vomit on Cricket.
