The Greens' country house, full address 1886 Lowell Road[1], is a location in Big City Greens. It was the Green family's countryside home prior to the pilot, "Welcome Home", where they move to their current house in the Big City. It is located somewhere in Smalton.
It serves as the main central location for the Green family in Season 3B, after Bill re-purchases it and moves the family back to it. Following the Greens' return to Big City, Nancy has become the sole permanent resident before her father moved into the house as well. Although they do go back and forth between the city as residents.
Appearance[]
Unlike the original Green house, the country house resembles a modern day farmhouse. It is two stories high and properly arranged. The outside walls are off-white and has a brown thatched roof. It is surrounded by twice the many farmland.
It houses more rooms than Alice's house did.
History[]
After Bill Green grew up and married Nancy, he moved out of the Greens' house and bought the house in Smalton, where Nancy gave birth to Cricket and Tilly and raised them. Bill eventually divorced Nancy and she left to reside in a trailer somewhere in Big City.
Life in the country seemed well for the Greens at first, but eventually, Bill's business, Green Family Farms, started to suffer debt due to competition with various industrial farms, and he begins to lose money due to all the bills he had to pay. Nancy rebelled and liberated the cows of a dairy farming business as payback, but she got arrested.
Soon after, the bank forecloses the farm, putting the Greens out of business. Bill then announces to the children they're moving to Big City to reside in the original Green house with Gramma. While Tilly copes with this through the five grief stages, Cricket suffers an extreme case of anxiety and is afraid of how he'll fit in at a new society. The day of the move, Cricket laments his fears to Bill, who reassures him that the country will always be part of him no matter where they are, and he has Cricket fill a jar with dirt as a souvenir so he'll always remember it. The Greens then left the country, with the property remaining unsold for a while until it was repurchased by Bill some time after "Dirt Jar". In "Long Goodbye", The Greens left the house again to live in Big City, but they all still live the house ever once in awhile and travel back and forth. Nancy Green is left at the house to keep the farm running.
Appearance[]
The house is more contemporary than Gramma's house, with off-white walls and teal trimming, and red roofs. It is two stories long. It houses almost the same rooms as Gramma's house, but has a few more extra rooms.
Rooms[]
Outside[]
Front yard and porch[]
The yard is much wider than the one at Gramma's house, with more open land and fresh dirt. It has a stone pathway leading to the front door. A porch swing is to the right, similar to Gramma's.
Backyard[]
The backyard is about double the size of the one at the city house, but with the addition of a back porch and dirt paths. The new family barn is directly behind the house located her. Nancy's trailer also stands to one side. To the left of the trailer is a gigantic apple tree similar to Gramma's; this was the same tree Bill grew in his childhood.
Inside[]
Living room[]
Kitchen[]
The kitchen is accessed directly from the living room, and has a country appearance. It has a generic appearance, and houses the back door to the backyard. It had a different appearance around the time Cricket was born, but has since remodeled.
Cricket's room[]
This was the kids' room during their time in the country, and Cricket and Remy's room during his extended stay. A similar hammock for Cricket is at the right of the room with various of his memoirs, while Tilly's bed was originally at the left; this was later taken down when she got her own room. In its place is an inflatable bed for Remy.
Tilly's room/First guest room[]
Tilly got this room when she moved out of the boys' room. Unlike her shared room with Cricket, it has a more feminine appearance, and her bed stands at the left side. Her desk is at the opposite end of the room, and it has lights over her headboard.
Bill's room[]
Gramma's room/Second guest room[]
Gramma stayed here during her extended stay in the country. It looks almost like her bedroom back in Big City, but with a cleaner appearance.
