This article is about Gregly. You may be looking for Wholesome Greg. |
Gregly is a recurring character of Big City Greens. He is introduced in "Cricket's Tickets" and continues to make recurring appearances in the show.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Gregly is relatively short has dark green skin and messy black (with a very dark tinge of blue) hair. He has a thick eyebrows and possibly a light mustache.
Attire[]
Gregly wears a light brown jacket with a white shirt underneath. He wears dark grey pants, and black/grey shoes. He also has glasses.
Personality[]
Gregly has a largely negative attitude towards everything, and is always angry. He always points out the littlest of flaws in things, like the inconsistencies in the Barnacle Banquet live show and the spelling of "421 Grand Aªvenue".
Official description[]
Gregly is a tightly-wound ball of rage. He knows his name is stupid, but won't abide going by anything other than "Gregly". He's angry but not mean—"I HATE HOW MUCH I LIKE YOU!". Gregly enjoys hanging out with Cricket and the other kids, but will rant and rave about any little thing.[1]

Trivia[]
- Chris Houghton confirmed on Tumblr that Gregly will appear again in future episodes.
- This is confirmed by his appearances in "Pool's Gold", "Bleeped", "Spaghetti Theory", "Bat Girl", and "Guiding Gregly".
- Despite potentially being an adult (he owns his own flat, although the flat may be owned by his parents), has the characteristics of, and sounds like, an adult, (though Cricket sounds like an adult despite being a kid), Gregly is depicted in shots calling for all the major kid cast (also hinted in his official description as he enjoys hanging out with other kids). This is especially seen in "Bat Girl", where he appears in the Sue-Zers roster, which is all made up of kids, which may mean he is a kid/young teen. (Little League players have to be at maximum 15, and Nancy, despite being an adult, passes off as an eleven-year-old. Taking the Little League age limit into account, Gregly may be a teenager [13-15 years old].)
- Despite this, his actual age is unconfirmed.
- Gregly is the second character to have "Greg" in their name, after Wholesome Greg.
- His grouchy and always-angry personality is similar to Grouchy Smurf from The Smurfs, Anger from Inside Out, Mr. Grumpy from the Mr. Men franchise and Fanny from Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two.
- He shouts like crazy-mad, similar to Lemongrab from Adventure Time.
- He has a slight resemblance to Gorgonzola from the Chowder TV series.
- He is presumably left handed as he wore his baseball catcher's mitt on his right hand in "Bat Girl".
- Strangely, Gregly was the only child character who did not take part in saying goodbye to the Greens in "The Move", and the only one who was not present when the Greens reunite with their friends in "Long Goodbye".
