"Horse Girl" is the 28th episode of Season 3 and the 144th episode of Big City Greens overall.
Synopsis
When Bill gets a horse for the day, Tilly must hide how much she secretly hates horses.[1]
Plot
Tilly is spending the day on the farm when Bill arrives with news that he bought a horse named Butterscotch to join their family. Tilly tells him that the only animal she does not like, just so happens to be horses as they are the only creatures she cannot "vibe" with. Bill becomes saddened as he hoped to spend the day with the two of them, so Tilly claims that she was kidding and reluctantly joins Bill and Butterscotch. Meanwhile, Cricket realizes that they have no cell service in the country, which concerns him as he wants to video chat with his girlfriend Gabriella. Rather than wait around like Remy and Gramma Alice, Cricket decides to go look for a better signal.
Bill drags Tilly along for the whole day with Butterscotch and despite him being overjoyed, Tilly is livid as the thought of being around a horse sickens her. She plots for a way to get rid of Butterscotch and during a picnic sets it up to look like the horse destroyed everything. However, Bill interprets it as Butterscotch not wanting their day to end and announces his intent to permanently keep her, much to Tilly's horror.
Cricket ends up at Patti's diner, but she tells him that they do not believe in using wi-fi. He next ends up at the junk yard where Lupita tries to help him get service before suggesting that he go to a cell tower just as a rain storm rolls in. Cricket reaches the tower just as the storm clears up and finally gets service. He calls Gabriella, where their conversion simply consists of them saying "hi" to one another, and ends the call, satisfying himself.
Tilly loudly proclaims that she hates horses, which is heard by Bill. The intensity of the storm knocks him into the rapid river, forcing Tilly and Butterscotch to reluctantly team up and rescue Bill. She tells him afterwards that she still does not like horses, but that does not mean that he needs to stop liking them and approves of him keeping Butterscotch around, just as long as they are far away. When Bill suggests that they wear matching hats, Tilly tells him not to push it.

La chica del Caballo | The girl on the horse | At one point, Bill says: It's not a horse, it's a filly. Eh, that rhymes with Tilly, but in the Spanish dubbing it says: No es un caballo, es una potra Ā”Vaya Potra! (It's not a horse, it's a filly. Go Filly!). It turns out that the Spanish words Potra (filly) and Suerte (luck) have the same meaning. |
