The S.S. Gwendolyn is one of the main locations of Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation acting as the primary location for the film other than BigTech, the Space Hotel and the Greens' house.

Appearance[]

Exterior[]

The S.S. Gwendolyn is a regular sized spaceship that has wings on the outside to extend and a rocket at the back. Part of the ship got clogged from trash because of the trash-teroid field.

Interior[]

Docking Bay[]

The docking bay is one of the main areas on the S.S. Gwendolyn as it being the area the Greens were in when they travelled to space as well as being where the Kludge was stored.

The Cockpit[]

The cockpit is shown when Gwendolyn explain the mission to the Greens that was assigned to them in exchange for a stay at the Space Hotel free of charge. It was also one of the main locations for the song "Rules Rap". It features the main console for the ship which is used during the trash-teroid field.

Invention Vault[]

The invention vault is mainly seen when Tilly first meets her former companion Cookie. It's also where Cricket found Tilly's space recorder and Alice's cyber leg as well as the 'neat' space 'junk' that Colleen through straight into the sun. It's depicted as a science lab with lots of beakers and other pieces of equipment. A label on the door of the vault reads: "Warning Awesome".

Cryochamber[]

The cryochamber is a room with machines that freeze people according to Colleen to their very last cell. It was shown when Alice and Cricket threw Colleen in there. It's possibly part of the Invention Vault.

Remote Terminal[]

The remote terminal is a room with a big screen for contacting people such as when Colleen contacted Gwendolyn. It features a table with chairs as well as an emergency escape pod.

History[]

Act I[]

The space shuttle as well as the docking bay are first seen when the Greens arrive all except Cricket thinking it's a space simulator. The Greens get grabbed out of the Kludge (which remains in the docking bay), get changed into space suits and get seated for takeoff. Cricket reassures Bill they have to say that the 'ride' is not a simulation for effect. The rocket takes off which is faster than the Greens expected and arrives in space causing the Greens to start floating. After Cricket activates the artificial gravity, everyone falls on top of each other and Bill decides to go get some fresh air and steps outside the airlock into the space atmosphere. Bill is rescued by a woman who introduces herself as the spaceship commander Colleen Voyd. Cricket then tells Bill that they actually are in space and then the other Greens hear about Gwendolyn's mission. Bill asks to send them home but the cost of the rocket fuel is too much for them to pay so they are forced to do the mission.

Later, Cricket tries to encourage the other Greens to enjoy space saying it's nothing they can't handle to which Colleen says there's a lot they possibly couldn't handle and that there's no chance of survival unless they follow the Zapp-stronaut rules.

Colleen sings about the rules to the Greens and then takes Bill to the facilities as he was feeling nauseous but was about to open the airlock a second time. To try and improve the vibes, Cricket and the others (except Bill) went inside the Invention vault to check it out. Tilly found a case that fell out of a cabinet with a creature inside called 'Failed Experiment 83'. She read that the creature breaks glass but it's meant to clean it so she tests this out and the glass beaker breaks. Because she doesn't like it's current name, Tilly changes the creature's name to Cookie because she finds being around him a treat. Cricket and Alice are scared and disgusted at their first reactions to Cookie making Tilly call them rude. In return to causing Tilly's journal to get lost and Alice's leg to disintegrate, Cricket gives Alice a new robotic leg and a space recorder to Tilly. Cricket decides to go and cheer Bill up after seeing the happy reactions from Alice and Tilly after getting their new gifts. He brings out some space gadgets but they are immediately thrown into the sun by Colleen because 'fun' is against the rules. Alice and Cricket decide to lock Colleen up in the cryochamber and succeed but are then caught by Tilly who makes an entry of it in her space recorder. Cricket encourages Tilly to not tell Bill successfully but then gets disgusted after seeing Cookie.

Act II[]

Cricket finds Bill in the Kludge and runs over to him. He lies to him about Colleen saying she got moon poisoning and also saying that she said that they can have some fun before the mission. Cricket invites Bill to join them but Bill declines with a sad sigh. Cricket asks Bill what's wrong to which Bill says he's sad they're not going on the road trip and tells Cricket how much he truly enjoyed it. Cricket takes Bill to show him how fun space can be with the other Greens.

In his attempt to show Bill that space is fun, he decides to sing about it whilst doing some space activities with Alice and Tilly. Their first activity is doing space fishing from the wing of the ship. This goes wrong however because Bill gets taken off from a satellite. Their second activity is to explore an abandoned ship. They find a chimpanzee who unexpectedly takes Bill's helmet off. Their third and final activity is to space bungee jump. This goes well until Bill suddenly gets hit by a can. After seeing a few more, they realise it's an astroid field of trash.

The Greens decide to go back to the ship and Cricket suggests Bill driving them away from the trash-teroid field. At first, Bill thinks that is a reckless idea but after hearing Cricket say to just imagine it like a road trip, Bill risks it. Bill constantly dodges trash asteroids while the other three scream in the back until they reach a massive trash asteroid which they have no choice but to go through. Bill risks it and barely makes it out alive only scraping one of the wings.

After they took a second to find their feet, the Greens find themselves in front of the Space Hotel. After taking a look from their ship, Remy gives them a call and tells the Greens to look outside. The Greens see Remy and his parents riding a courtesy shuttle. When Remy, Russell and Rashida go back into the Space Hotel, Cricket tries alongside Tilly and Alice to encourage Bill to let them go to the Space Hotel saying it would be the best vacation ever. Bill brings out his fun meter saying it is reading off the charts which means they can go to the Space Hotel. Bill and the Greens set off on their journey to the farming asteroid not noticing one of the thrusters was clogged with trash.

Nancy, Gloria and Gwendolyn watch from Earth as the Greens arrive on the farming asteroid. They notice the farmbots trying to harm the Greens so Gwendolyn calls Colleen who is still in the cryochamber and therefore doesn't respond.

Act III[]

After being chased by the farmbots, the Greens run back onto the ship and close the door. Cricket and Bill try to start the ship but fail. When they think all is lost, they hear a familiar voice. Tilly and Alice explain to Bill that they locked Colleen in the cryochamber making Bill annoyed. The Greens and Colleen see the farmbots attempting to get into the ship and decide to go to the remote terminal.

When they arrive, Colleen finds out that one of the thrusters of the ship was clogged with trash and therefore exploded. As Colleen explains that the de-trashification process would take too long, Gwendolyn suddenly comes on the screen and surprises Colleen. Gwendolyn says she found out that the ship's thruster blew out so she orders Colleen to send the space vegetables in the emergency escape pod. Colleen starts loading the vegetables into the escape pod but Bill thinks the escape pod is for them and starts to ask if all the Greens would fit in just as Colleen sends the escape pod away with the vegetables.

Later, the farmbots start breaking the glass windows in the remote terminal so the Greens and Colleen decide to move to move to the cargo bay where Colleen explains that the only chance of survival is to switch off the farmbots. She brings out a tablet that shows a switch called the Kill switch located in the main power core that is on the other side of the asteroid which they would never make it to on foot. As Alice takes defeat, Cricket suggests using the Kludge.
