Trivia[]
- This is the third short to use live-action footage.
- This is also the second short to be transcribed from a live-action presentation.
- The entire plot revolving around Cricket prank-calling Scrooge is practically done in the style of The Simpsons' Bart Simpson prank-calling Moe Syzslak. Moe's threat afterwards is delivered by Gramma, but not to Cricket, but to Scrooge.
- It's also the fact that the whole short series was an inspiration from Bart's prank calling at Moe throughout the early seasons of the series.
- The YouTube video title acknowledges Raven's Home is part of the short, considering Anneliese van der Pol, who plays Chelsea in said series, is in the short as Scrooge. However, this short doesn't star Raven-Symoné or any other cast member of Raven's Home and is in reality part of a larger compilation of holiday-related videos released to celebrate Christmas, the first being "Tilly and Cricket Call Raven Symoné!". Both are part of Disney Channel's Epic Holiday Showdown, which included Raven's Home amongst other Disney Channel original series.
- The deeds on Cricket's so-so list and Gramma's naughty list are references to past episodes and shorts:
- Cricket:
- Cheating at skee-ball ("Present Tense")
- Destroying garden ("I, Farmbot")
- Shark fin prank ("Shark Objects")

Errors[]
- In Disney Channel Asia broadcasts of the special, Santa's line "prank call Ebenezer Scrooge" was erroneously replaced with "crank call Ebenezer Scrooge".
