"Skipped Over" is the 38th episode of Season 4 and the 190th episode of Big City Greens overall.
Synopsis
Bill becomes hyper-competitive when Cricket starts to be better at things than him.
Plot
Cricket, Tilly, and Bill are by the pond skipping rocks. While Bill attempts to show his method for skipping, Cricket's more drastic method allows him to skip a rock more than Bill. Bill is surprised by this and is visibly jealous. While he tosses it up as just luck, he soon grows suspicious and tries to figure out what else Cricket is good at. Back at the house, Nancy tries to look for baking dish she used for the casserole. Nick pokes fun at her for not remembering where her things are before she remembers that she gave it to Trey and Tracy when she gave them her casserole. While Nick thinks the worse, Nancy believes it is a misunderstanding and they go to get it back.
Nancy and Nick show up at Trey and Tracy's home and meet their triplets. When Nancy asks for the pan back, the two are offended as they insist that due to it having the casserole in it, it is therefore part of the gift. Nick sneaks away and grabs the pan, fighting off the triplets as he and Nancy make a hasty retreat. Bill challenges Cricket to an egg carrying contest that ends with Cricket easily beating him. Later, he challenges him to whittling where to his surprise, Cricket is shown to be masterful at it. When Cricket tells Bill that he looks up to him for this, this angers Bill and he ask that he meet him at the barn in ten minutes.
While driving away, Nick discovers that the pan belonged to Good Ol' Joe. Nancy, realizing that she is no better than Trey and Tracy, goes to give it back to him. Bill transforms the barn into a wrestling ring where he proceeds to trounce Cricket. He eventually comes to his senses when he realizes that Cricket is simply following his lead. They go back to the pond where Cricket once again proves to be better at skipping rocks than Bill. Realizing that Cricket got everything from him, Bill concludes that every win that Cricket makes is technically his own and he is therefore proud about it, despite Cricket's attempts to prove the contrary.
