The Sun is a G2-type medium-sized star in the Solar System. While not playing any role in Big City Greens (other than "Heat Beaters"), it appears in every episode where it is daytime.
In "Papaganda", Tilly describes it as an "incessant supernova".
Heat Beaters[]
During this episode, a major heatwave struck Big City, and to some extent, the whole planet. This was likely caused by a solar mass ejection, or solar flare, that damaged the ozone layer just enough to cause the heatwave. Also during the episode, the sun appeared bigger and brighter from the heat.
