"Times Circle" is the 34th episode of Season 2 and the 92nd episode overall of Big City Greens.
Synopsis[]
During a trip to the city square, Tilly and Remy put on a sidewalk play, Cricket and Bill meet their favorite costumed superheroes, and Gramma ends up on a talk show that hates everything.
Plot[]
The Greens and Remy are at Times Circle to purchase Halloween candy early before the season hits. As Tilly comments on the wonderful surroundings, she notices that people are in line to get tickets for the next show, but all look bored. Having written a play herself, she urges Remy to help put on a show for the passerbys in the hopes of bringing entertainment to them. Cricket spots his three favorite superheroes; America Rat, Doctor Robot and the Incredulous Bulk and he and Bill go and get their pictures taken with them. The superheroes however become frightened by the arrival of the Croblins, their rival street performers and hide. Gramma Alice gets the attention of Tuck Offerman, an obnoxious television show host who runs the show I Hate It! Intrigued with Alice's snarky wit, he asks her to be his co-host.
Tilly's play, about a woman who falls in love with a ghost, fails to attract anyone. A little boy asks that they include an airplane. Tilly thinks the boy wants the ghost to be an airplane and changes the story. However, everyone else is still bored, so she and Remy host a census asking people what they would like to see in the play. Cricket tries to encourage the superheroes to get back out there and take on the Croblins, but they refuse as they are ruthless. Bill goes to talk to them, but gets picked on and pushed around. Cricket dons his own superhero costume as Kid Cricket and confronts the Croblins. Tilly and Remy employ the new ideas, but nobody is pleased because the play does not make any sense. They overhear Cricket encouraging the heroes to do what they think is right and decide to have the play back to what it was originally.
Cricket and the heroes battle the Croblins in a stunning display while Tilly and Remy perform the play as originally intended. Tuck Offerman insults the fight and Alice finally insults him and his inconsiderate behavior making him sad. Tilly's play does not get anyone's attention, mostly because the line has moved, but one lady does applaud them and even offers them her bouquet that she had brought for another show. Cricket and the heroes beat the Croblins (who turn out to be two teenagers and an old man) and they escape with Alice tripping them in the trash. The heroes are praised. Cricket attempts to take compensation for the street show, but America Rat stops him.
