- The episode title, and the place the Greens visit, are a pun on Times Square, which is New York City's major tourist destination in its Manhattan area.
- A poster can be seen for a musical called "BATS". This is a reference to the "Cats" musical, which received a much-derided film adaptation of the same name in 2019.
- A poster can be seen for a musical called The Phantom of the Puppet Show, referencing the musical The Phantom of the Opera.
- A poster for the musical A Miserable Play (?) is seen, which references Les Miserables.
- The German adult throws Deutschmarks at the Croblin performers. Deutschmarks were the official currency of Germany before being replaced with the Euro in 2001, though is still a valid currency as of 2012 which may be exchanged with the Euro.
- Cricket's favorite superheroes are parodies of The Avengers.
- Dr. Robot is a parody of Iron Man.
- The Incredulous Bulk is a parody of The Incredible Hulk with a reversed color scheme.
- America Rat is a parody of Captain America.
- Bulk and America Rat are voiced by Fred Tatasciore and Roger Craig Smith respectively, who voice Hulk and Captain America in most contemporary Marvel media such as the Avengers Assemble TV series.
- "I HATE IT" is similar to the comedy game show Billy on the Street and the YouTube channel I Hate Everything.
- Cat-costumed Tilly uses a lightsaber prop.
- The old man saying "And I woulda gotten away with it if it weren't for that meddling kid!" is a reference to Scooby-Doo, as that is what all villains say after being unmasked.
- Halloween Forever is a parody of Halloween stores that stay open 24 hours a day, all year long.
- In addition, one of the promos shown outside is "Groundhog Day Forever Store has moved." While Groundhog Day itself is an actual holiday celebrated in America, it is most famous for being featured in the 1993 film of the same name.
- The name "Groundhog Day Forever" is also a reference to the film, where the main character, Phil Connors, keeps on waking up to the same day, February 2nd, which happens to be Groundhog Day.
- The Medieval Themes logo is in the style of the real-life Medieval Times logo which was referenced in the previous episode, "Cricket's Tickets".
- Cricket's "Shameshameha" move is a parody of the Kamehameha move from the Dragon Ball series.
- Cricket calling his superhero self "Kid Cricket" may refer to Henry's superhero name "Kid Danger" in Henry Danger.
